【9-11 Dec. 2019】”The International Conference on Technology for Education (T4E) 2019”@India, Report

IEEE International Conference on Technology for Education (T4E) 2019 was organized at Goa University in India from 9-11 December 2019. Four members from the Kyoto University participated in the international conference. Prof. Ogata delivered one of the keynote speeches during the event on the theme of Learning Analytics and Evidence-Based Education. Mr Hiroyuki Kuromiya presented his research work on “Data-driven Validation of Pedagogical Model – A Case of Blended LCM Model”. Dr Rwitajit Majumdar along with the Kyoto University team, coordinated the second workshop on Technology-enabled and Evidence-based education. Prof. Chufumi Nishioka introduced the ongoing research work regarding the recommendation system associated with BookRoll system to the participants.
Overall the conference was very interactive and was an effective platform to interact with Indian teachers and international researchers to introduce the ongoing learning analytics research in Ogata lab.
Last but not the least Mr. Kuromiya was awarded the IEEE students travel grant for participating in the event.
